Swen Fischer
What matters to me
The piano as a gateway to music. From the very first moment I was magically drawn to the piano. Its sound seemed so much more malleable and profound than anything I knew. Today it is a wonderful starting point for opening up the whole world of music to my students.
There is no such thing as “too young”. As a small child I learned to read with great joy myself. I love the challenge of bringing music to even the youngest – because an early start is essential for virtuoso piano playing.
Learning is a pleasure. My joy in learning is reflected in the teaching materials of the playy publishing house. I want to pass it on in my music books and musical games – using new media as well.
Versatility shapes personality. Besides the piano I have always had many interests: karate, yoga and swimming enrich me just as much as the Italian language and culture. This versatility matters to me for my students too – at the instrument as in life.

Katja HerzogAfter ten years of lessons with Swen Fischer, I still look forward to my weekly lesson. The way he works on each piece together with me is wonderful – with great empathy and high standards at the same time.
Brigitte NassorWhen my son David, at 16 months, was allowed to press the piano keys for the first time on Mr Fischer’s lap, he stayed calmer than ever before. Today he is on the home straight towards studying music.
